Petrosol Secures Retail License for Elisenheim Service Station
Windhoek, Namibia | 4 August 2026
Elisenheim Property Development Company Limited (EPDC) and Petrosol Petroleum Solutions CC (Petrosol) are pleased to announce that the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy has issued a retail license for the planned Elisenheim Service Station, marking a significant milestone in the development of essential services infrastructure for the dynamically growing Elisenheim Lifestyle Estate (Elisenheim) community.
The license follows years of planning, engagement and collaboration between Petrosol and EPDC to establish a fuel retail facility that will serve residents of Elisenheim and surrounding communities in Windhoek’s expanding northern corridor.
Elisenheim has developed into one of Namibia’s leading lifestyle estates of choice and is currently home to approximately 1,500 households and more than 5,000 residents. Despite this growth, residents have had limited access to nearby fuel facilities, with the nearest service station located more than seven kilometers away.
“Elisenheim was never conceived as just another residential estate — it was planned from the outset as a complete, stand-alone community. Few services matter more to daily life than fuel and convenience retail close to home, and this license brings that vision another step closer for our residents,” said Le-Hugo van Rooyen, CEO of APxHouse Property Development Holdings, the holding company of EPDC.
As a wholly Namibian-owned company, Petrosol remains committed to investing in infrastructure that supports economic growth, job creation and improved service delivery across Namibia. Petrosol first identified Elisenheim as a strategic location for a retail service station several years ago, aligned with its broader vision to expand its presence in the Windhoek market and provide quality fuel and convenience services to growing communities.
“A nearby service station is something you only stop taking for granted when you don’t have one. We look forward to giving Elisenheim’s residents back the time they spend driving for fuel, and to being part of this community for the long term,” said Johan Botes of Petrosol.
The future service station is planned to complement the existing Urban Village Retail Centre and support Elisenheim’s long-term vision of becoming a fully integrated and self-sustaining community. The proposed development is expected to provide residents, businesses and visitors with convenient access to fuel and related retail services closer to home.
Further information regarding the development and future project milestones will be communicated as the project progresses.
