ELISENHEIM NATURE ESTATE SECURES ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE RENEWAL
Windhoek, Namibia | 2 September 2026
Elisenheim Property Development Company Limited (EPDC), a subsidiary of APxHouse Property Development Holdings and an investee company of Trustco Group Holdings Limited, has received a renewal of its Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Elisenheim Nature Estate (Nature Estate). The renewal provides regulatory certainty to support long-term planning and future development of this component of the broader Elisenheim Lifestyle Estate (Elisenheim).
The renewed ECC allows planning for the Nature Estate to proceed within the approved environmental framework and is supported by an updated Environmental Management Plan governing the environmental measures applicable during construction and operation, with compliance monitored by a dedicated Environmental Control Officer.
Elisenheim spans approximately 1,186 hectares. The Nature Estate extends the Elisenheim vision into the natural landscape southeast of the existing residential areas and along the Dobra River, where limited, low-density development is planned with sensitivity to the surrounding environment.
The Nature Estate is envisioned to provide for low-density residential clusters, mixed-use villages and selected residential and business erven, with development areas guided by ecological and environmental considerations. An on-site nursery for the propagation of indigenous trees and shrubs forms part of the environmental approach.
Le-Hugo van Rooyen, Chief Executive Officer of APxHouse Property Development Holdings, said: “Elisenheim Nature Estate continues to demonstrate that residential development and environmental responsibility can coexist. The renewed certificate supports our ongoing efforts to protect biodiversity and to maintain the natural character of the area.”
Since its acquisition in 2015, Elisenheim has evolved from open farmland into an established lifestyle community in close proximity to Windhoek, housing nearly 5000 residents. Infrastructure supporting walking, cycling and outdoor recreation is already integrated throughout the estate, and the Nature Estate will build on and extend this established outdoor lifestyle offering, further strengthening Elisenheim’s position as a leading residential development in Namibia’s growing property market.
